Sunday Drive

On Sunday my mom, the girls, my husband and I went for a Sunday drive. Its been forever since we have just gone somewhere, just to go somewhere….ya know?

So we loaded the fourwheeler, packed some snacks, got the dog and headed out.

We ended up having a picnic lunch with a great view.

See my mom and the girls?
They got some fishing time in….minus the actual catching a fish part.
Bummer.
And I’ll be dang!
We came home with a actual photo of me!!
“HI!”
The girls kept track of all the animals spotted along the way:
Elk herd #1:
We heard this a lot:
“Where?! Where?! Where?! I CAN’T SEEEEEEEE!”
Having the vision fortitude of a 3 year old can be stressful.
Deer:
“HUH? WHERE?! WHERE?! WHERE?!”
Big Horn Sheep:
 “I SEE IT!”
Hallelujah!
Turkey:
One poor hen was pulverized by the car ahead of us and we ended up driving through a whirlwind of feathers. It might be wrong of me, but it was kinda cool.
Elk herd #2:
They were close, so we ALL got a good look. Twice.
We had to turn around to look again.
I’m bound by the girls to also say we saw lots of cows, horses, and many different kinds of birds.
We all had a great time, and when we got home the girls went RIGHT to sleep….and so did I. 🙂

I love to see pictures of where different people live. I don’t know where you are, but it is very different from AL, so this was actually a very educational post 🙂

And I don’t think it’s weird that you were intrigued by the whirlwind of feathers. You couldn’t undo what happened to the hen, so you might as well see something beautiful in the situation 🙂
