Top 10 (and then some) Photos of 2014

Today I refuse to exude optimism about another year.
Because it means I’m getting older, so I have made it my duty to get grouchier.
Cause that’s what you do.
You get old and grouchy.

Unless were talking about summer 2015.
Then…..well garsh, I just love summer.
So I guess we can move into 2015 with a little bit of optimism.
But time is moving at warp speed, and thank goodness I took some photos this year to remember it.
Cause we all know how that goes.
So I waded into the murky recesses of my external hard drive and found some of my favorite photos from the year.

Dun dun dunnnnn.

First family plane ride.

The morning bus stop walk routine.

Our summer road trip.

This was one of the first photos that really got me back into blogging this year.

The light.
Oh the sweet, sweet light.

This was an I Heart Faces feature!

Umm yeah. Apparently YOU guys like this photo.
The post featuring this lovely image got more hits in one day then most do.

I have a secret about this photo. I cropped her little bum down a bit.
The diaper was…well lets just say ready for a changn’.

This photo has received more hits and traffic then almost any other photo I took this year.
Pretty amazing!
Thank you!!

 Love her face.
I made my first (and up to this point only) gif from this photo.

I had a thing for black and whites this year too.

The focus and depth of field is so off on this photo, but I love it anyways.
Makes me want to squish her face.
I love squishy baby faces.

And I started instagramming this year.

So there you have it.
A generic run down of my year.
The photos aren’t in order, and some you have have seen many, many times but they all hold a story for me.

I also want to thank everyone for reading this little ol blog of mine.
I never thought I would get back into photography and blogging, let alone write something, post photos, share my life and get a response!
Thank you, thank you!

So with that said, even though I vowed at the beginning of this post that I was going to be grouchy this year, I decided to change my mind.
Because I realized that even though I may be getting old, and my kids are growing up on me, it’s a privilege not everyone gets.
And I’m grateful for it.
For all of it.

So bring it 2015!
 Even the crappy parts.
I’m ready.
