Ain’t No Sunshine

The sun appeared today!
For those of you who don’t live around here and don’t know about the inversion apocalypse we suffer every winter, let me just say when the sun is shining in January I’m grateful.
You don’t realize how great sunshine is until she’s gone…until she’s gone.
“Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
She always gone too long anytime she goes away.”
 *clears throat*
Thank you Bill Withers for that little diddy.
Though I feel we weren’t necessarily singing about the same thing.
Oh well.
So when the glorious sun spilled into my windows I yelled,
“Praise be!”
And I’m not even religious… it was kinda weird.

It also came at a perfect time,
because my little one was coloring in the front foyer and the light was great for my 365 photo!
Then, like all good things, it came to an end.
The sun was sucked back up into the foggy abyss
and I was left poorly singing my rendition of
“Ain’t No Sunshine”.
In case you have no idea what super depressing song I was mutilating with my voice, listen to this:
And be grateful that I don’t choose to start a Vlog.
You know, a video blog.
Cause even my two year old tells me,
“Shhhh please don’t!”, when I sing.
The only exception to this is the ABC’s, which I must totally rock at.

Psssst.. could you click this banner for me?
It adds a vote and helps me move up in ranking.

Cute little one. I know that song well from road trips without radio reception when my daughter plugs in her iPhone. I know the feeling of living in a grey cloud, did it on top of a mountain for 35 depressing years although our 3 acre garden and the view ( when it appeared) was lovely. Believe me it is much less stressful to be living with a fog obscuring the sun than smoke from a wildfire.
