It’s baaaaack….Fix It Friday!

It’s been awhile since I have had a Fix It Friday, and today’s image was a fun one!
Alycia, who blogs at Crazily Normal,  posted some adorable photos of her daughter the other day that I thought would be a great feature, so I asked.. and she said yes!
Wahoo!
 Here is the before image.
In my opinion, there isn’t a need to really fix it, but it’s such a cute image that I wanted to see what I could do with it!
First I straightened out the background a bit
duplicated the image and stretched it out so I could add the top of her hat that had been cropped off.
Next I warmed it up, added some sunlight and textures.
The photo looked more vintage-y (vintage-ish? or something), so I curved the edges too.
Here is the finished result:

Thank you to Alycia for letting me edit her photo.
If you get a chance, check out her blog here and say hello!

If you have a picture you would like to have edited and featured on Fix It Friday, get in touch! I am always looking for a fun edit and would love to hear from you. Just remember, it has to be a photo you took…. ’cause, you know, I don’t want to get sued or something.

PS:
I have been having major issues with Blogger messing with the color in my photos when I post them on here, so I am looking into switching over to WordPress.
If any of you have experience with WordPress I’m all ears.
I would like to know what you like about it, what you hate about it etc. My main problem would be moving ALL my content over from Blogger, but since my photos keep looking like crap on here I think I might be ready for the hassle. If you have moved your site from Blogger to WordPress I would love to know how smooth of a move it was (or how many times you cried) and any insight you might have.
Thanks!!

I would love to know how to “stretch” photos if you have time for a tutorial one day. I had a blogger blog for my photography site and moved it to WordPress. Honestly, I just hated the layout in the dashboard. I found myself dreading composing emails. I also hated how I don’t have Google Friend Connect or a dashboard to read blogs I subscribe to, in. I created a new blog with blogger and I’m much happier now. Have you tried Blogstomp for your pictures?

If I had a set way of how to stretch photos I would so do a tutorial! I just kinda winged it so Im not sure how that would come across with instructions.. confusing perhaps? haha
So your saying Blogger is better? Oh man, decisions, decisions…I haven’t tried blogstomp before, I will look into that. All I know is my photos are going wacky and my husband tells me the code on my blog is all messed up too. (He writes code for a living and hates how blogger has it set up.) hmmm
